Kundapur: Students of govt higher primary school vote to choose leaders on EVM app

Kundapur, Jun 7: The students of government higher primary school, Bailur elected their school student leader and deputy school student leader through EVM app like during parliament elections.

The election notifications, filing of nominations, scrutinising the nominations, withdrawal, allotting of symbols and publicity were held in order to create awareness among the children. Children were allowed to cast their votes from the EVM app on mobile phones. Children were enthusiastic. NOTA option was also present.

Three students each contested for the position of school leader and the deputy school leader. Class 8 student Sneha was elected the leader and class 7 student Anushka was elected the deputy leader.

Co-teacher Anand Kulal was the election officer. Co-teachers Narayana Adiga, Santhosh, Sandhya K, teachers Pramila and Nayana were the booth officers. Headmistress Girija D provided guidance.
