Bantwal: PFI, B A Hospital Organize Blood Donation Camp

Bantwal, Jul 26: Under the aegis of the Popular Front of India (PFI), B C Road zone and B A Hospital, and in association with Mangalore-based Fr Muller Medical College, a blood donation camp was held here on Sunday July 24.

Taluk PFI president S H Shahool Hameed presided over the programme on Sunday.

Dakshina Kannada district SDPI chief secretary Akbar Ali, Dr Niranjan Kadilkar of Fr Muller Medical College department of pathology, and PFI B C Road zonal president N M Iqbal were the chief guests on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Kadilkar said that there is no substitute for blood. “It cannot be artificially made.  Anyone regardless of gender, who is healthy and between the age of 18 to 60 years can voluntarily contribute their blood,” said Dr Kadilkar.

Nazeer T K welcomed the gathering.  Irfan Thumbe proposed the vote of thanks and Khader Ammemar compered the programme.
