Mysore, Jul 27: Under the aegis of the Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy and various Konkani Associations of the city, 'Konkani Sahitya Samskrutik Sangam', a day-long programme will be held at St Mathias School auditorium here on Sunday July 31 from 10 am to 6 pm.

Chamundeshwari MLA Satyanarayan will inaugurate the programme on Sunday morning.
Konkani Sahitya Academy president Narayan Kharvi Kundapur will preside over the programme.

Mayor Pushpalata T B Chikkanna, Konkani Christian Association president Gratian Rodrigues, Rajapur Saraswat Samaj, Mysore – Mandya president Chandrashekar Nayak, Gowda Saraswat Brahman Sabha president M Jagannat Shenoy and Deivajna Brahman Samaj president Kamalesh Shet will be the chief guests on the occasion.

The weaving of 'tendu' leaves by Alfred D'Souza group and weaving of flowers by Maxim D'Mello and group, bridal make-up by Pushpaveni Nayak and group will be held from 11 am to 12 pm on Sunday.

A poets' session will be held from 12 pm to 1 pm and will be chaired by Vally Vogga Mysore.

Poets Br Santosh Castelino, Maxim D'Almeida Mysore, Vijayanat Bhat Mysore, Leena D'Souza Mysore, Emilia Saldanha Mysore, Josephine D'Silva Mysore and Abila R Nayak Mysore will attend the poets' session.

Dressing the bride will be done by Aquilin Upresia D'Souza and group, carrying of headload offerings will be by Maxim D'mello and group, bridal make-up by Pushpaveni Nayak group Mysore will be held from 2 pm to 3 pm on Sunday.

Konkani folklore will be demonstrated by Mamata Kini and group, Konkani dance by Victoria D'Costa and group, Apolin D'Souza and group, Sunita D'Souza and group, musical programme by Jasmine D'Souza and group, Konkani drama by Sheela Bhandarkar and group, Kharvi folk dance by Karavali Balaga, Kasargod, will be held as part of the cultural extravaganza from 3 pm to 6 pm on Sunday.
