Bantwal MLA directs police dept to act on accused who forced female school teacher to apologise

Bantwal, Aug 19: Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik has directed the police department, education department officer and tahsildar to conduct investigation and take legal action against all the accused who forced the female school teacher to apologise.

The school teacher of the Manchi government was threatened. The case of making the incident viral in which the teacher apologised has reached Vittal police station. MLA Rajesh Naik has asked the officials to consider the case as serious, conduct detailed investigations and take legal action against the accused.

“The officials should take action against those who cause commotion in government schools. They should make sure that the problem does not escalate,” he told the department head.

    Who the heck does Rajesh Naik think he is to direct police to take action? Does an MLA have any such power to direct police or even civil authorities to take action?
