Kundapur, Sep 27: D K Shivakumar, deputy chief minister, has appointed Congress youth leader Arvind Poojary as the president of the Byndoor Block, Udupi District Congress Committee.

He has been entrusted with the responsibility to assume leadership and commence work aimed at unifying and strengthening the party, under the guidance of the Congress committee and with the cooperation of local leaders.
