Kadaba: Man seriously injured in wild elephant attack

Kadaba, Sep 29: A man was seriously injured due to attack by a wild elephant at Aithur village of the taluk.

The injured is identified as Choma (56), a daily wage labourer and resident of Gairtila in Aithur village.

He was going towards home after completing his work. As he approached Kartikeya Bhajana Mandir near Nelyadka school, the tusker appeared suddenly lifted him through its trunk and threw Choma to a distance.

Chomas was given first aid at Kadaba government hospital and later admitted to Puttur private hospital for advanced treatment. Forest department officials visited the spot.
