Mangaluru: 1973 batch of MCF Friends celebrates golden jubilee

Mangaluru, Oct 7: The golden jubilee celebration of 1973 batch of MCF Friends was held at Dr TMA Pai hall on Saturday October 7.

Prior to inaugural function, light music was performed by Melody Stars.

Ramdoss R, A N Prakash, Mohan Rao, Jayadevan, Girish and Ganesh Rai inaugurated the grand event.

Sachidananda addressed the gathering about the evolution of MCF Friends. M R Srikantaswamy gave a brief introduction on MCF Friends, recruitment, and training at Kochi and how MCF Friends was formed.

T M Shyam Sundar spoke about moving to Mangaluru and the early challenges, learning process, industry, commissioning, experienced personal support for guidance and how that further strengthened the bond among the MCF Friends.

T K Srivatsa spoke about MCF township, society, club, social activities, sports, bridge, drama, cultural events, children and ladies participation, and how these helped to strengthen their friendship, including families.

Ganesh Rai spoke about opportunities abroad, people leaving for greener pastures to KSA, Oman, Libya, UAE, Bahrain, US and Canada. Despite being away from MCF group, we have continued our friendship, he said.

Surma Vijay Kumar, Sri Pathi Bhat, Vasundhara Prashanth, Y M Devdas, P K Jayadevan, Padmanabhan, Rajendran Ganesan, Rengaswamy, Narayanswamy S, Kumaraswamy M R, Manjappa G D, S Chandrashekara, Balakrishna, and Gopal P D and spoke over the memories of MCF.

Chief guests Girish and Ramadoss R also spoke on the occasion.

Meanwhile, the MCF management was honoured.

Yoga welcomed the gathering, Manoj compered the event, Gregory Serrao, Shyam and Yoga proposed the vote of thanks.
