Bantwal: Crack develops on Panemangalore bridge, commuters worry

Daijiworld Media Network – Bantwal (MS)

Bantwal, Oct 9: A crack has developed on the old steel bridge of Panemangalore on Sunday. Concerns are raised whether it is safe to use the bridge.

The crack has appeared on the road on the bridge. It is not known whether the crack is superficial or deep down into the bridge. Only expert opinion will give a definite analysis.

This bridge, which was built during British times, had developed cracks earlier and it was considered as dangerous for heavy vehicles to pass on the bridge. However, after some time heavy vehicles also began running on this old bridge.

Now the new crack has caused concern among locals and they are urging for expert opinion after checking the gape.

Chailwala bent upon doing away with old British time heritage structure. Maybe his useless sevaks must have inflicted damages .... must be seeing this as an opportunistic threat on his "Made in India" campaign.

BJP is well known to change historical/foreign names of circles, places, circles, including Country name. On that point of view why they are still using the building and bridges built by British Empire? (Est India Co.)
