Kundapur: Sports meet for primary, high school, differently-abled students inaugurated

Kundapur, Oct 26: District level sports meet of primary, high school and differently-abled students under the aegis of Udupi zilla panchayat, DDPI office, school education department Udupi, office of the block education officer of Kundapur zone was inaugurated on October 26 at Gandhi Maidan of the city.

Presiding over the function, MLA Kiran Kumar Kodgi said, “Let the students concentrate on competing in the sports. There is no need to feel dejected in case of loss. The effort should continue. Success will surely follow.”

Receiving guard of honour, MLA of Byndoor Gururaja Shetty said, “Sports achievement should further increase in coastal districts. Students should use this forum to show their talent. Let this even be a secure foundation for sportsman spirit.”

Rashmi S R, AC of Kundapur division said, “All sports persons should compete with sportsman spirit. Only when one loses he or she will feel elated during victory. Let this sports meet become the foundation for the future of students.”

K R Nayak, Dandeli Prakash Shetty, Prakash Shetty Yadtadi, Nagaraja Shetty Kailadi Chittor were felicitated.

Mohandas Shenoy, Manjunatha R, Shobhalaxmi, Kusumakar Shetty, Ramakrishna B G, Kirshore Kumar and Prabhakar Shetty were present.
