Udupi, Oct 26: Deputy commissioner (DC) of Udupi Dr Vidya Kumari said that 4240 students will take examination for second division assistants and junior assistants that will take place on October 29.

Giving details of the examination in the press conference that was held at the office of DC, Dr Vidya Kumari said, “In the current year, 4240 students will write the examination. Timings are from 10.30 am to 1 and 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm. Only the deputy chief superintendent of examinations is allowed to carry a basic mobile set without the camera. All other staff of examination and students are not allowed to carry any mobile phones.

“A team consisting of tahsildar of taluk, block education officer and principal is nominated for distributing the question paper bundles to examination centres. Police security will be provided while distributing the question papers. SP is requested to provide police security to all the examination centres on the day of examination.

“All students have to bring hall ticket without fail on the day of examination. Two recent passport size photographs should also be brought. It is mandatory to carry photo ID recognized by the government. Transparent drinking water bottles can be carried inside the examination hall. No student will be allowed to go out of the examination hall till the last bell is rung,” she said.
