Udupi: Draft voters’ list to be released on Oct 27

Udupi, Oct 27: DC Dr Vidya Kumar said that draft voters’ list will be released on October 27. Arrangements are made to distribute the same to all political parties on the same day.

Speaking at the press conference organized at the DC office, Dr Vidya Kumar said, “The voters’ list is available on the officials website of ceo.karnataka.kar.nic.in and voters in the draft voters’ list are encouraged to check the same on the list. If their names are missing or any errors are observed, the same should be notified through form 6. Voters whose names are not on the list can resubmit their details in the special camp that will be held from October 27 to December 9.

“The total number of voters on the draft are 1037677 which consists of 500924 men 536737 women and 16 third gender. Any objections or concerns can be addressed from October 27, 2023 to December 9, 2023. In the wake of Lok Sabha elections special campaign is organized on November 18, 19 and December 2 and 3. During this campaign form number 7 needs to be submitted to delete name from voters list, form number 8 to include the name and form number 8a to transfer the voting booth. All complaints and exceptions will be verified on December 26.

“The final voters’ list for Udupi will be published on January 5, 2024. EP ration verification is also done by visiting individual houses in the district,” she said.
