Udupi: KCCCI to present first ever 'Prerana Awards 2023' on Oct 29

Udupi, Oct 27: “Prerana Awards 2023 conferred to the Christian for Entrepreneurs and Industrialists by Karavali Christian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Udupi (KCCCI) will be held at Mandavi Sabha Bhavana Kadiyali on Sunday October 29," said Dr Jerry Vincent Dias, founder president of KCCI.

Addressing the press he said, “KCCCI has been a forum for the Christian entrepreneurs to provide various information and assistance for business people of the community. Various workshops, and other programmes have been organized through KCCCI for over 11 years now. But for the very first time we are initiating ‘Prerana Awards’ to identify and recognize entrepreneurs of the community. Prerana awards will be conferred to achievers of four categories. Dr Sushil Jattanna, director Lombard Memorial Hospital Udupi will be the chief guest for the programme. Dr Jerry Vincent Dias will inaugurate the programme.”

The annual entrepreneur award 2023 will be conferred to Rajesh Kumar Salins, managing director Bell O Seal Valves Pvt Ltd.  Annual Women Entrepreneur Award 2023 is conferred to Carol Wilma D’Cunha, event management Karkala.  Annual Youth Entrepreneur Award 2023 is conferred to Neons Anthony D’Souza, NN Infrastructure Ltd Brahmavar and Annual Farmer Award is conferred to Wilfred Felix D’Souza agriculture estate Nada, Kundapur.

Three persons have been selected for Prerana Special Recognition Awards namely David V Sequiera, Kundapur (Social service and health), Glen Larsen Rebello, Moodubelle (youth entrepreneur and drone expert), and Lawrence Alva, Moodubelle (social worker and barren land agriculturist).

Muriel Premalatha Udupi and Ruphina Mendonca Palimar have been selected for Prerana Seva Award 2023 for their service in teaching and nursing care respectively.

The achievements of the members, their children will also be recognized on the occasion.

Santhosh D’Silva, president KCCCI Alwyn Quadrous, general secretary Jeetendra Furtado, vice president Louis Lobo, founding member were present.
