HSRP number plate deadline extended to Nov 30

Daijiworld Media Network – Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Nov 12: The state government has once again extended the deadline for installing High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) on vehicles registered before April 2019.

Despite four previous extensions, many vehicle owners have yet to comply. As a result, the government has extended the deadline to November 30.

From December 1, fines will be imposed on defaulters.

The mandate applies to all vehicles, including two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and four-wheelers. The HSRP plates offer additional security features aimed at preventing fraud and theft.

I own a 1979 Royal Enfield 350 cc bike. Just renewed by fitness certificate and am yet to receive a physical card. How can I obtain a HSRP number plate in Mangalore for my bike. I have been told that because it is MEG registration, it will be difficult. Anybody can enlighten me on this? Thanks in advance.
