Mangaluru: SIT’s Innovation Council organizes 24-hour national level hackathon ‘Srinathon’

Mangaluru, Dec 11: Srinivas Institute of Technology’s Innovation Council, in collaboration with SSOSC, EDP, Incubation and Startup, and Yukthi Cell, jointly organized a 24-hour National Level Hackathon – Srinathon – held from December 10 to 11.

Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao, chancellor of Srinivas University, Mangaluru, and president of A Shama Rao Foundation, presided over the function and inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp. In his address to the participating students, he emphasized the importance of such events in fostering skills essential for entrepreneurship and industry readiness. He remarked, “Events like these provide invaluable learning experiences and prepare students for real-world challenges.” Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D, the principal of the college, extended a warm welcome to the gathering.

Shailesh Shetty shared insights into Srinathon, highlighting its significance. The hackathon witnessed participation from over 110 teams representing various engineering colleges across Karnataka and Kerala. The event was sponsored by Zetacoding and DevAppSys as title track sponsors.

Dr Soorya Krishna K, EDP coordinator, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all contributors and participants. Yaksmitha and Naaz skillfully hosted the programme as masters of ceremony, while Netrananda, SSOSC coordinator, escorted the dignitaries to the dais.
