Udupi: Students and Alumni of Crossland College Excel in the University Exams

Udupi, Dec 31: The students from Brahmavar based Crossland College have bagged five ranks in the B A degree exams of Mangalore University held during May 2011.

Sam David scored 83.84 to secure the first rank and is at present a MSW student at Christian College, Kodaikanal. Jyothsna Jacob Mathews secured the second rank scoring 83.74% and is doing her MSW at Milagress College, Kallianpur.

Bijoy BP bagged the third rank with 82.42%, Rona Raj, the fourth rank with 82.32% and Sam Thomas, the tenth rank with 80.08%. Bijoy KP is employed with Infosys, Bangalore and both Rona Raj and Sam Thomas are perusing their MSW at Manipal University.

The students of the college have secured 4 ranks each in 2008 and 2009. In 2010 they secured 2 ranks. The college has so far bagged 21 ranks in the University exams since its inception in 1984.

The college family is proud that its alumni John Houghton has got the first rank in the BPEd and Darshana Jacob Mathews, the first rank in the MA English Literature in the Mangalore University examinations. Incidentally Darshana Mathews Jacob had the third rank in the 2009 B.A exams and is the sister of Jyothsana Jacob Mathews who secured the second rank in the BA exams. They are the daughters of Jacob Mathews, Darshana Cottage, Kukunjar, Perdoor.
