Mumbai, Jan 18: Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and his partner, actress Dakota Johnson, visited a Lord Shiva temple in Mumbai ahead of the band’s Music of the Spheres world tour concerts in India.
A video of the couple at the temple has gone viral, showing Johnson and others whispering their wishes to the Nandi statue, a tradition among devotees. The video, shared by Coldplay’s India fan page on Instagram, was captioned: “What a start to an event with the blessings of Mahadev.”
Chris Martin also shared a serene photo from Mumbai’s iconic Marine Drive on January 17, expressing his excitement for the tour. Coldplay’s official social media account on platform X (formerly Twitter) posted a cheerful picture of Martin in a casual T-shirt, tracks, and cap, with the caption: “We are so happy and grateful to be here in India.”
The band arrived in Mumbai on January 16, with Martin and Johnson spotted exiting the airport to a warm welcome. The singer, known for global hits like Fix You and A Sky Full of Stars, is gearing up for three concerts at DY Patil Sports Stadium on January 18, 19, and 21.
After their Mumbai performances, Coldplay will travel to Gujarat to perform at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on January 25 and 26.
