Mumbai: ‘Gurunarayan Literary Award’ to be Conferred on Jan 7

Mumbai, Jan 7: The metro-based Billawar Association will conduct the conferring ceremony of the ‘Gurunarayan Literary Award – 2011’, sponsored by Billawar Association’s ‘Akshaya’ monthly bulletin honorary chief editor M B Kukyan, at Gurunarayn auditorium, Billawa Bhavan, at 4.00 pm on Saturday January 7.

The award will be conferred on Dr G N Upadhya, renowned litterateur and education expert, head of department of Kannada, Mumbai University.

Billawar Association president Jaya C Suvarna will preside over the programame.

Renowned litterateur and critic Dr Kale Gowda Nagavara will be the chief guest on the occasion.

Renowned litterateur Dr Vishwanat Karnada will deliver the felicitation speech.

Bharat Co-operative Bank deputy general manager, poet and critic V S Shanbagh will chair the poets’ session after the stage programme.
