New Delhi, Feb 23: In his 119th edition of 'Mann Ki Baat' on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed various pressing topics, including the rising concerns over obesity, stress from examinations, and the importance of science. He highlighted India's progress in space exploration, celebrating ISRO’s remarkable achievements and urging young people to dedicate a day to scientific pursuits.
The broadcast was heard by a large audience across the country, including party members and citizens in his parliamentary constituency of Varanasi. BJP City President Vidyasagar Rai praised the Prime Minister for considering the needs of every section of society.

On PM Modi's comments about obesity, Rai noted, “This is an important message for all of us. We must transform it into a nationwide campaign. The Prime Minister aims to raise awareness about the dangers of obesity and how early intervention can prevent its adverse effects.”
Madhurima Srivastava expressed her approval of the Prime Minister’s initiative, calling it a valuable campaign to raise awareness about the issue. Nishi Tiwari also supported the health tips shared by PM Modi, believing they would contribute to a fitter and healthier nation.
In Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district, listeners of the program also endorsed the Prime Minister’s call to combat obesity.
During the broadcast, PM Modi urged citizens to take immediate action in addressing obesity, emphasizing that reducing oil intake in food is not only a personal choice but a responsibility towards one's family. He stressed that making small adjustments in dietary habits can lead to a stronger, healthier, and disease-free future.
The Prime Minister further challenged listeners to reduce the amount of oil in their food by 10 percent and encouraged them to pass on this challenge to others, believing that collective efforts could play a significant role in tackling the obesity issue.
