Mangaluru: Milagres College holds workshop on research development

Mangaluru, Mar 2: The research development workshop was successfully held at Milagres College, on March 1. The event was organized by the college’s IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell), Human Resource Development Unit, and Research Development Cell, focusing on research development.

The workshop was inaugurated by the principal of the college, Dr Michael L Santomayor, who, in his speech, emphasized that research is a crucial part of education. He stated that when teachers engage in continuous research, they can provide quality knowledge to students. In this context, such workshops help faculty members enhance their research knowledge.

The resource persons for the workshop were Dr Niyaz Panakaje, associate professor & coordinator, YEN-REFINED, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru, and Dr S M Riha Parveen, associate professor, YEN-REFINED, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru.

Lectures were conducted on the importance of research, quality study methods, and scientific research methodologies.

The event was attended by Chetana Kumari, coordinator of the IQAC department, Dr Asha Jyothi, coordinator of the College’s Research Unit, as well as the faculty members and students of the college.
