Bahrain, Mar 6: The Bunts Bahrain organization, established to support the non-resident Bunt community on the island, is celebrating its 22nd anniversary. Marking this milestone, a new executive committee has been elected, with young and enthusiastic leader Dr Mithun Bhandary unanimously chosen as the president for the 2025-26 term.

Dr Mithun Bhandary, a medical professional, has been serving at a prestigious hospital in Bahrain for the past 13 years. Known for his humble nature, he is a well-recognized figure among the Kannada and Tulu-speaking communities on the island.

Along with him, Ajay Shetty has been elected as the vice president, Rohan Shetty as the general secretary, and Sukesh Shetty as the joint secretary. Yakshith Shetty will serve as the cultural secretary, with Dhananjay Rai as the joint cultural secretary. Nithin Shetty has taken charge as the sports secretary, while Ganesh Shetty will assist him as the joint sports secretary. Prashanth Shetty has been appointed as the treasurer, and Deep Ravindra Shetty as the public relations officer.

Over the past two decades, Bunts Bahrain has brought together the non-resident Bunt community and initiated several social welfare programs. The organization has played a vital role in addressing the concerns of the community, both in Bahrain and in their homeland.

The newly appointed executive committee has already laid out plans for several upcoming community-oriented programs. As Bunts Bahrain steps into its 22nd year, the hope is that it will continue its legacy of service and support for the Bunt community.
