I met Late K . R Rai (I remember his name was Kotedadi Ramana Rai) while working offshore at Bombay high rig, Trident 2.(Sedco Forex). We used to eat dinner together and chat. Humble, down to earth gentleman. He menionted that his niece was married to a Mangalorean Catholic pediatrician. Mr Rai had a business of inspection/maintenance of fire fighting equipment/system on the rigs.
