Mumbai, Apr 11: Oscar-winning music maestro A R Rahman is all set to mesmerize audiences with his upcoming global musical spectacle The Wonderment Tour and he’s bringing along a powerhouse of dance to match his sonic brilliance. Celebrated choreographer Shiamak Davar will be lending his signature flair to the tour, adding an extra layer of visual magic to the musical extravaganza.
Rahman confirmed the exciting collaboration on Thursday, reminiscing about their earlier work together on iconic films like Taal and Kisna. “Our journey together on Taal and Kisna was an unforgettable one, and I have no doubt that in The Wonderment Tour, he will create something truly magical,” Rahman said. “The tour is in every sense a celebration of music, dance, and the magic that happens when two art forms come together — and who better than Shiamak for this?”

Echoing the excitement, Shiamak Davar said, “Working with Rahman is always a true pleasure. He has an unparalleled ability to touch hearts through his music, and I’m thrilled to bring his compositions to life through dance. With The Wonderment Tour, we’re not just showcasing his music we’re taking the audience on a journey of pure emotion, rhythm, and joy.”
The grand global premiere of The Wonderment Tour is scheduled for May 3 at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai, as part of the WAVES Summit 2025 which will run from May 1 to 4. The concert is being conceptualized by Rahman himself in collaboration with Percept Live, and is co-produced by Percept Live, Fair Game, and Jo Entertainment.
This musical celebration promises not just performances by Rahman but a spectacular visual journey, with Davar’s choreography elevating the live experience. With Mumbai playing host to the debut, fans can expect a sensory spectacle unlike any other.
