Mumbai, Apr 15: Model-turned-actress Alankrita Sahai, known for her roles in films such as Band Of Maharajas, Love Per Square Foot, and Namaste England, has permanently moved back to Mumbai, calling the shift an emotional and professional “homecoming”.

Speaking about her decision, the 31-year-old former Miss India (2014-2015) shared that she had earlier left Mumbai for personal reasons. “Well, I had left Mumbai in between for a while due to some personal reasons. Unfortunately, I lost my dad later, and that's when I decided to stay back in Chandigarh and work from there itself,” she revealed.

Alankrita shared that during this difficult phase, prioritizing family and peace of mind was the most important thing. “Even though I was working continuously, I hadn't fully recovered emotionally or mentally. I wasn’t ready to return to Mumbai, where I had built everything with my dad,” she said.

However, now feeling stronger and more prepared, Alankrita has made the move back to the city where her career began. “By God's grace and the blessings of the universe, I am now ready, and that's why I have moved back,” she expressed with gratitude.

Referring to her relocation as a “homecoming,” the actress added, “Besides the personal reasons, professionally too it will be beneficial as it will save a lot of my traveling time, which I can instead use for more productive work. So yes, this is a homecoming for me, and I am delighted."

Alankrita made her debut in a music album with Himesh Reshammiya, which was launched by Bollywood legends Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan. Her most recent project, Band Of Maharajas, tells the tale of three aspiring musicians from a Punjab border village who risk crossing into Pakistan, navigating challenges in pursuit of their passion for music.
