Mumbai, Apr 15: Bollywood actor Sidharth Malhotra is all set to star in an upcoming untitled comedy film, directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, known for his hit films like Dream Girl and Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. The film, which is expected to be a big-budget entertainer, will begin production in September 2025.

Raaj Shaandilyaa is collaborating with producer Mahaveer Jain for this project, with the film being co-produced by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, best known for the Fukrey franchise. A source close to the development revealed that the film is expected to be a high-concept comedy with the potential to evolve into a unique franchise. The script for the film has been penned by Sanjeev.

“This is a big-budget comedy entertainer, and the entire team Sidharth Malhotra, Mahaveer Jain, and Raaj Shaandilyaa are excited to bring this to life in the second half of 2025,” the source said. “The characters and world have great potential to lead into a one-of-a-kind franchise.”

Alongside this comedy project, Mahaveer Jain is also working on several other films, including a “creature comedy” and the highly anticipated Nagzilla, starring Kartik Aaryan. The producer is working with Karan Johar for the Nagzilla project, which will be helmed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba.

For Sidharth Malhotra, this comedy film arrives at an exciting time in his career. The actor is currently wrapping up Param Sundari and is also preparing for his next project with Ekta Kapoor and TVF. Additionally, Malhotra is set to star in Race 4 alongside Saif Ali Khan and has potential collaborations with filmmaker Saran Sharma and producer Karan Johar in the pipeline.
