New York, Apr 18: Former actress Namrata Shirodkar recently enjoyed a star-studded evening in New York as she attended Nick Jonas’ Broadway musical The Last Five Years, accompanied by her children Sitara and Gautham. Taking to Instagram, Namrata expressed her gratitude to Nick and his wife, global icon Priyanka Chopra, for what she called a “spectacular show” and a “fabulous evening.”

The actress-turned-philanthropist, who is married to South superstar Mahesh Babu, shared a snapshot of the memorable night, posing with Nick Jonas and her kids. “Thank you, Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra, for a fabulous evening and a spectacular show!!! The Last Five Years,” she captioned the picture on her Instagram Stories.

Priyanka, clearly touched by the gesture, re-shared Namrata’s post and responded warmly: “So glad you all had a great time.”

Nick Jonas is currently starring in the first-ever Broadway production of The Last Five Years, a beloved two-person musical by Jason Robert Brown. Sharing the stage with Tony Award winner Adrienne Warren, Nick plays Jamie, a rising novelist, opposite Warren’s Cathy, an aspiring actress. The unique structure of the musical presents Jamie’s story in chronological order and Cathy’s in reverse, capturing the complexities of love and heartbreak over five years.

Speaking to People.com about opening night at the Hudson Theatre, Nick admitted to some stage fright. “The thing for me is there are a lot of people who love this show… and it's those folks who have done it that I feel most intimidated to do it for,” he said.

He added, “That’s the beauty of storytelling… to take big risks and put yourself out there. As intimidating as it might feel, it's a really gratifying experience.”

The show continues to receive praise from audiences and celebrities alike, adding another feather to Jonas' diverse performance career.
