Media Release

Mangaluru, May 30: In line with the updated ICSE curriculum and assessment framework, St Theresa’s School, Bendur, organised a series of subject-specific workshops from May 21 to 26, aimed at enriching instructional strategies and promoting academic excellence.

Workshops were held for subjects including history, English, Hindi, Geography, Computer Applications, Mathematics, Kannada, and Science. Led by experienced educators such as Ritty D’Souza, Doreen Vaz, Shareen, Carol, Prafulla Fernandes, Juliet Rodrigues, Sandhya Rai, and Jasmine Moreira, the sessions focused on practical teaching methods aligned with the revised ICSE evaluation pattern — highlighting analytical thinking, concept-based learning, skill development, and student engagement.

Key themes included the use of ICT tools, storytelling, oral and written assessments, experiential learning, low-cost science experiments, and the integration of project-based strategies. Teachers also explored the new board exam format, which emphasises application and higher-order thinking skills.

The workshops fostered a collaborative learning environment, empowering teachers with updated methodologies to meet 21st-century learning demands. This initiative reflects the school’s continued commitment to innovative, learner-centered education under the ICSE system.
