Bantwal, Jun 3: Loreto English Medium High School, affiliated to CBSE, reopened on June 2 with a vibrant and meaningful inaugural programme to welcome students for the new academic year 2025–26. A special assembly was held, marking the joyful beginning of the school year.
The event commenced with a soulful prayer song rendered by the school choir group, invoking divine blessings. This was followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by principal Fr Jason Vijay Monis, correspondent Fr Francis Crasta, PPC president Cypriyan D’Souza, PTA vice president Sachin Noronha, School vice principal Anitha Pais, and other dignitaries, symbolising the light of knowledge and wisdom.

The highlight of the inauguration was the release of balloons with a welcome note by the dignitaries, representing the aspirations and dreams of the new academic year.
In his address, principal Fr Jason Vijay Monis proudly announced that Loreto English Medium High School is now a full-fledged CBSE school, offering education from Balavatika to Grade 10. He motivated students by saying, “Grab the opportunities before you. Don’t wait for someone to offer them. Develop good habits, use every second wisely. If you enjoy now, you may cry later — but if you sacrifice now, you will build a bright future.” He extended a heartfelt welcome to all newly admitted students.
Correspondent Fr Francis Crasta shared an inspiring message, saying, “School reopening is not just about opening the gates, but also about opening your hearts and minds to new learning.” He encouraged students to find joy in their studies, assuring them that a joyful approach transforms the entire classroom experience.
He also appreciated the students’ discipline and promised to provide all necessary facilities to enhance their educational journey.
As a gesture of love, the newly admitted students were welcomed with small gifts. Newly appointed teachers warmly welcomed to the school with roses.
Philomena served as the master of ceremony, Mareena delivered the welcome address, and Sujatha proposed the vote of thanks.
The programme ended with the national anthem.
