The Easter season culminates with the Feast of Pentecost, a pivotal moment in Christian history. Celebrated fifty days after Jesus' Resurrection, Pentecost commemorates the day when the Holy Spirit descended upon the apostles and the Virgin Mary in Jerusalem. This event marks the fulfillment of Jesus' promise to send the Holy Spirit to His disciples, empowering them to continue His mission on earth.

1) The apostles and the Blessed Virgin Mary were filled with fire-like tongues when the Holy Spirit descended upon them on the day of Pentecost.

2) The fearful apostles received a unique anointing of the Holy Spirit, which turned them into fiery preachers and evangelizers and gave them the gift of tongues.

3) Because of their faith in Jesus, the early Christians became courageous martyrs and powerful witnesses.
