Mangalore: Youth Killed in Bike-Tipper Accident Near Kateel

Mangalore, Jan 26: A youth was killed when the bike he was riding rammed into a tipper at Yekkar Dwara near Kateel here on Thursday January 26 at around 8 am.

The deceased has been identified as Niranjan Sundar, son of Umesh, from Kattalsar, Sunkadakatte. He was a second year BA student.

It is said that Niranjan was riding at a high speed, and collided with the tipper at turning in the road.

Another youth, whose identity is not yet ascertained, was injured and admitted to Concepta hospital. Sources said that he had recently got a job.

The two youngsters were riding from Bajpe to Kateel and the tipper was plying from Kateel towards the city.

The Pulsar bike which they were riding was completely smashed.

The body has been shifted to Wenlock.

    I know this curve point which has little humpy is dangerous for vehicle commuters unless takes precaution.The accident is purely due to careless bike riding by the young man which cost his precious life.
