Moodbidri: Golden Jubilee Celebrations of St Vincent De Paul Council, Alangar Held

Moodbidri, Jan 30: The golden jubilee of the St Vincent De Paul unit of the Alangar-Moodbidri parish was celebrated at Alangar on Sunday January 29, here. Dr Ronald Cutinha celebrated the solemn Eucharist.

Dr Ronald Cutinha presided over the short felicitation programme that was followed. Addressing the gathering, he said, “When we love others and when we live for others then our life will have contentment”.

Fr Basil Vas in his message said, “Unless we are fed spiritually, our charity would soon dry out”.

All the presidents and the representatives of the units of the Moodbidri Varado were present. All the sponsored families were invited and present in big numbers. This year the community weddings and marriage bureau were launched as the memorials of the jubilee.

A report was read by the secretary Br Urban. Sr Juliana Danthis the present president of the Alangar unit, Br Leo Nazareth, president; Br Andrew Nazareth, vice president of particular council Moodbidri Varado, Fr Basil Vas were present on the dais.

Two senior most members Br Felix Rodrigues who had served 33 years and Br Joseph Martis who also had served in the council for several years were honoured.
