St Ann's PU College organises awareness session on ‘Say No to Drugs’

Mangaluru, Aug 7: An awareness session on 'Say No to Drugs' was held on Aug 6 at St Ann's PU College auditorium to educate students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to encourage them to lead a healthy and responsible life.

The programme began with a prayer by the students, invoking God’s guidance and strength to make wise choices. Rolita D’Souza, the coordinator, anti-drug committee, delivered the welcome address, extending a warm greeting to the gathering and introducing the resource person and the day’s objective. The event was compered by Dipthi. who ensured the smooth flow of the programme.

The highlight of the event was the impactful talk by Guru Prasad, founder and managing director of Born-Again Recovery Center, the resource person, who spoke with clarity and conviction about the physical, mental, and social consequences of drug use. He urged students to be alert, make informed decisions, and become ambassadors of change in their peer circles. His engaging style and real-life examples left a lasting impression on the audience.

The session concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, appreciating Guru Prasad for his valuable insights and all those who contributed to the success of the event.
