Mangaluru, Aug 28: The Nitte Institute of Hospitality Services (NIHS) hosted a vibrant day of leadership and celebration on August 23, marked by the student leaders swearing-in ceremony followed by a spirited Freshers’ Day celebration.

The formal event began with a warm welcome by Dr Dhiraj Pathak, principal, NIHS, setting the tone for an inspiring session. Dr Sathya Prasad, principal, NICO NDU, graced the occasion as the chief guest and administered the oath to the newly elected club leaders, class representatives, and house captains.

Vaishak introduced the chief guest to the audience, while Rishal Fernandes seamlessly compared the programme. The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Vishal, acknowledging the efforts of the faculty, staff, and students in making the event successful.

Following the formal ceremony, the campus came alive with Freshers’ Day celebrations, filled with fun, music, and cultural performances. Both senior and junior students showcased their talents through dance, music, and creative acts, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and enthusiasm.

The event was meticulously organized by the 4th-year students, showcasing excellent time management and team coordination, with Chris Rolwin of the final year leading the planning and execution. The festivities concluded on a high note with a high-energy dance floor session, featuring electrifying beats by DJ Shan, leaving students with memories of a day filled with joy, unity, and celebration.
