Mumbai, Nov 2: Bollywood’s beloved superstar Shah Rukh Khan, fondly known as the ‘King of Bollywood’, turned 60 today, and fans across the globe poured in heartfelt wishes celebrating the milestone of their favourite star. From emotional tributes on social media to massive gatherings outside his Mannat residence in Mumbai, the celebrations reflected the unmatched love SRK continues to command even after three decades in the industry.
The actor, who made his debut with the TV show Fauji before conquering the silver screen, has enjoyed a glittering career filled with iconic performances — from Baazigar and Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge to Swades and Chak De! India. After a brief hiatus following Zero (2018), Shah Rukh made a grand comeback in 2023 with two all-time blockbusters, Pathaan and Jawan, reaffirming his position as Bollywood’s undisputed Badshah.
Reports suggest that the title of his much-anticipated upcoming film with director Siddharth Anand will be unveiled later today, adding to the excitement among fans.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh ushered in his birthday with a lavish celebration at his Alibaug residence on Friday night. The star-studded bash saw the presence of close friends and colleagues including filmmaker Karan Johar, choreographer-director Farah Khan, and Amitabh Bachchan’s granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda.
Farah Khan shared adorable pictures from the party on Instagram, capturing a warm moment with SRK. “Happy birthday KING @iamsrk... rule for another 100 years,” she captioned the post. The superstar looked relaxed in a grey T-shirt, matching pants, and a beanie, while Farah was seen in a cheerful pink printed outfit.
Karan Johar too shared glimpses from the festivities, posting a photo with Rani Mukerji and Ananya Panday from the celebrations.
