Bangalore: Unpublished Works of R K Laxman at 'Doodu's Doodles'

Bangalore, Feb 17: The Indian Institute of Cartoonists is organising an exhibition of unpublished Doodles drawn by R K Laxman, 'Doodu's Doodles' on February 18 at the Cartoon Gallery, Bangalore.
The legendary cartoonist R K Laxman has a nick-name ‘Doodu' at his house. Laxman used to draw wonderful and meaningful Doodles constantly whenever he came from Mumbai to Mysore on holydays.
"For 16 years he has drawn 90 Doodles, from December 15, 1975 to October 15, 1991. All these unpublished Doodles will be on show at the cartoon gallery. This is an interesting and entertaining opportunity to the public to view these Doodles," said V G Narendra, managing trustee, Indian Institute of Cartoonists.
Justice M N Venkatachalaiah, former Chief Justice of India will inaugurate the event at the Indian Institute of Cartoonists, Trinity Circle, Bangalore.
Jnanapith Awardee Girish Karnad and R K Laxman's Nephew R S Krishnaswamy will be the chief guests.
The exhibition will be open to public up to March 11.
