Two young men die in early morning motorcycle accident at Cortalim flyover

Vasco, Dec 15: A tragic road accident in the early hours of Sunday claimed the lives of two young men when their motorcycle allegedly collided with a road divider and a car at the Cortalim flyover.

The incident occurred around 1:20 am when K H Bikram Singha, a resident of Consua, Cortalim and originally from Assam, was riding a TVS motorcycle from Panaji towards Verna, with pillion passenger S Pariton Singha, also from Consua, Cortalim and a native of Assam. According to police, the motorcycle was being driven recklessly. Upon reaching the flyover, the vehicle struck a road divider, crossed into the opposite lane, and collided with a Skoda car traveling from Verna to Panaji.

Both Bikram and Pariton sustained severe injuries from the impact and were declared dead upon arrival at GMC Bambolim, confirming the incident as a fatal vehicular accident.

A state complaint was filed by Head Constable Sudeshkumar Dessai of Verna police station, and an offence has been registered under Sections 281 and 106(1) of the Indian Penal Code. The case is under further investigation by Lady PSI Pramila Fernandes, supervised by PI Anand Shirodkar and guided by Mormugao DySP Gurudas Kadam.
