Mumbai, Feb 25: Actor Shoaib Ibrahim has shared a reassuring update about his wife, Dipika Kakar, following her recent surgery to remove a cyst from her stomach amid her ongoing battle with stage 2 liver cancer.
Taking to social media, Shoaib informed fans that the procedure was successfully completed and that Dipika is recovering steadily under medical supervision. While she is experiencing some post-surgery pain, he assured well-wishers that there is “nothing to worry about.”
“Allah ke karam se aur aapki sabki duaon se Dippi's procedure is done. All went well. She is also doing fine, bas thode pain mein hai, but nothing to worry. Thank you once again for all your prayers,” he wrote, expressing gratitude for the outpouring of support.
Dipika, widely recognised for her role in the popular television show Sasural Simar Ka, has had a challenging year on the health front. In June 2025, she underwent surgery to remove a tumour as part of her treatment for stage 2 liver cancer. The recent cyst removal marks yet another medical hurdle in her recovery journey.
Ahead of the procedure, the couple quietly celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary. In their YouTube vlog, Dipika and Shoaib were seen spending time at home, cooking together and breaking their Ramadan fast in an intimate setting, choosing simple moments of togetherness amid health uncertainties.
The day after their anniversary, they visited the hospital for the scheduled surgery, with Shoaib remaining by her side throughout. He later shared that doctors are keeping her under observation to ensure a smooth and complication-free recovery.
Throughout her illness, Dipika has remained open about her health struggles, speaking candidly about chemotherapy sessions, emotional challenges and gradual steps towards recovery. By regularly documenting her journey on YouTube and social media, she has kept fans informed and connected.
