Her family members expressed immense pride over the achievement, describing it as the result of years of dedication, discipline, and support from various government initiatives.

Rajeshwari had completed her electrical and electronics engineering degree from Vel Tech College of Engineering in 2018. Following her graduation, she had dedicated herself to preparing for the civil services examination, a process that extended over seven years.
During this period, her preparation demanded considerable personal sacrifice. Family members recalled that she had missed several Deepavali and Pongal celebrations as well as other family gatherings while focusing on her studies and examination preparations.
Her journey received significant support through the Tamil Nadu government’s Naan Mudhalvan scheme, which provided both financial assistance and academic guidance to aspirants. Rajeshwari had been part of the first batch of beneficiaries under the initiative.
In 2024, she had been selected to receive financial assistance for the preliminary examination, receiving Rs 7,500 per month for ten months. After clearing the prelims in 2025, she received further financial support for the Mains preparation, including around Rs 25,000, followed by Rs 50,000 assistance for the interview stage.
Apart from financial aid, the programme also provided strong academic guidance through experienced faculty members. Rajeshwari credited the academic support system and structured preparation environment for strengthening her chances of success.
She hailed from Madurai district, where her father Murugadas worked as a businessman and her mother served as an associate professor of mathematics. Her family described her as disciplined and focused, qualities that played a key role in her achievement.
Rajeshwari had earlier cleared the Group-1 examination in 2024 and had undergone training as a deputy district collector in Dindigul. At the time of the UPSC results, she had been undergoing training at the Secretariat in Chennai in preparation for administrative responsibilities.
Her family expressed gratitude to the Tamil Nadu government and officials associated with the Naan Mudhalvan scheme for supporting aspirants through training programmes and financial assistance.
Rajeshwari Suve’s achievement has inspired many aspirants across the state, demonstrating that perseverance, dedication, and institutional support can help candidates achieve success at the national level. Her journey from an engineering graduate to one of the country’s top-ranked civil services aspirants stands as a strong example for young aspirants pursuing careers in public service.
