Chennai, Mar 14: The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has granted a clean ‘U’ certificate to the upcoming Malayalam film Aadu 3: One Last Ride, Part 1, directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas and starring Jayasurya in the lead role.

Sharing the update with fans, Jayasurya announced the news on Instagram, revealing that the film has been cleared for release and will hit theatres worldwide on March 19.

The makers had recently dismissed speculation that the film’s release might be postponed. Production houses Friday Film House and Kavya Film Company issued a joint statement confirming that the film would release as scheduled.

According to the producers, the film has been created with immense love and gratitude for audiences who turned the “Aadu” franchise into a cult favourite over the years. They also said they had been closely monitoring global developments after concerns were raised about a possible delay in the release.

Despite challenges during production, the team decided to proceed with the planned release, emphasising the importance of keeping the film industry active during difficult times.

The makers also noted that the “Aadu” series has always celebrated friendship, humour and chaos, highlighting the power of storytelling to bring people together.

Apart from Jayasurya, the film also features actors Vijay Babu, Sunny Wayne, Vinayakan, Saiju Kurup, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Harikrishnan and Bhagath Manuel in key roles.

The film’s cinematography is handled by Akhil George, with music composed by Shaan Rahman. The background score has been created by Dawn Vincent, while editing is by Lijo Paul.

The third instalment of the popular franchise is expected to continue the quirky humour and chaotic adventures that made the earlier films widely popular among audiences
