Mumbai, Jun 10: Veteran Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff paid a heartfelt tribute to legendary screen icon Jeevan on the occasion of his death anniversary, remembering the celebrated character actor whose contributions left a lasting impact on Indian cinema.

Taking to social media on Tuesday, Jackie shared a black-and-white portrait of Jeevan and expressed his admiration through a simple yet emotional message. The tribute read, “Jeevan ji. Always in our hearts,” reflecting the enduring respect the late actor continues to command within the film fraternity.

The post also highlighted Jeevan’s birth and death dates, commemorating the anniversary of the actor, whose real name was Omkar Nath Dhar. Widely regarded as one of Hindi cinema’s most distinguished character actors, Jeevan built a remarkable career spanning nearly five decades and featured in more than 250 films.

He earned immense popularity for portraying the sage Narad Muni in numerous mythological productions, a role that became synonymous with his screen identity. Jeevan’s legacy also lives on through his son, Kiran Kumar, who went on to establish a successful career in both Hindi films and television.

On the professional front, Jackie Shroff was recently seen in The Great Grand Superhero: The Arrival of Aliens. The veteran actor, known for his decades-long contribution to Indian cinema, is also the father of actor Tiger Shroff and entrepreneur and social media personality Krishna Shroff.
