South Korea's Jobless Rate Falls


Seoul, Jul 11 (IANS): South Korea's jobless rate fell to 3.2 percent last month from a year earlier due to continued job creation in the service sector, a government report showed Wednesday.

The unemployment rate stood at 3.2 percent in June, down 0.1 percentage point from the same month of last year, according to Statistics Korea. From a month before, the rate was up 0.1 percentage point, reported Xinhua.

The jobless rate fell for 13 straight months in June on an on-year basis due to continued job creation in the service industry.
