India Beats Germany at World Junior Squash


Doha, Jul 14 (IANS): Fourth seeded India began their campaign in the World Junior men's squash championship with a comprehensive 3-0 victory against Germany here Friday.

The Indians were not in a mood to give any chances to the Germans and won all their matches in straight games. India are slated to play Australia and Qatar in their remaining two league matches on Saturday.

The results:

India beat Germany 3-0: Abhishek Pradhan bt Lucas Wirths 11-9, 11-5, 11-1 (22m); Mahesh Mangonkar bt Andre Ergenz 11-5, 11-4, 11-6 (28m); Vrishab Koitan bt Niklas Becher 11-6, 12-10, 11-4 (28m).
