Drivers should be very careful and do their jobs cautiously when go for such picnics. Should take special attention and not carried by the jokes or songs the children sing. Their main duty is driving very carefully. Those who drive with overspeed should be given one week or month rest at home. Police should put cameras in some areas or the vehicles should make siren sound if it crosses speed limit. Police should make it compulsory for all vehicles. Let them learn to drive safely. All children's parents may be worried now. No more picnics with these type of drivers.

A very serious attention is needed by concerned depts. regarding our Mangalore city. After concreting the roads, our roads have become more dangerous with no footpaths for pedestrians, people parking cars and 2 wheelers on already narrowed down roadsides, and killer road dividers. In most of the areas width of the roads are not enough for the no. of vehicles plying on them. Number of vehicles are increasing day by day (thanks to increasing car loans) but the infrastructure remains the same, commercials buildings are coming up everywhere but no parking place for its customers. Constructing footpaths is need of the day.

Based on the increase in the volume of commuters and goods (materials), the nature of infrastructure (roads and vehicle sizes), the high fuel prices, operation cost and maintenance expenses, it is very essential to look at the existing transport facilities and plan for a change.

We need to implement a new concept to run our vehicles with minimum cost with maximum capacity and efficiency. We have been using the tortoise styled concept and have kept our automobile sector in lengthy evolutionary mode. If we implement a rabbit styled concept in our land transport, we can save a considerable amount of fuel cost, reduce health hazardous air pollution and peace disturbing sound pollution.

If the communication sector can provide excellent services at a very cheap rate, why we can’t try an option to make a revolutionary change in our land transport sector too?

things are hopeless in my motherland India. i pride myself to have stayed here inspite of a lucrative job in the Us but many a times i feel going there would be better after all.
God kindly take care of the injured children and let them recover soon without any repurcussions.
The school vans also drive so that they can pick up children of different school a sad sight for me to see every day.
