Chand named Pepsi brand ambassador


New Delhi, Mar 1 (IANS): Delhi batsman Unmukt Chand was Friday named the brand ambassador of cola brand Pepsi.

Chand led the Under-19 Indian cricket team to a World Cup victory in 2012 and will be seen in action in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) for Delhi Daredevils.

The 19-year-old will feature in Pepsi's upcoming ad-film, which will also have India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina.

Speaking about the association Homi Battiwalla, senior director - marketing of PepsiCo India, said: "We are proud to associate with Unmukt Chand. He is eager to be a part of the Indian cricket team and is performing consistently to achieve his goals. We wish him all the best and look forward to an exciting journey with him."

On bagging the deal, Chand said: "I feel privileged to join the extraordinary league of achievers and youth icons that endorse Pepsi and look forward to a great journey ahead."
