Katona flaunts engagement ring on Twitter

Los Angeles, April 16 (IANS): Singer Kerry Katona, who got engaged to George Kay over the weekend, took to social networking platform Twitter to show off her sparkling new ring.

Katona and Kay have been dating each other for the past nine months. Katona posted pictures of her diamond band on Twitter, reports thesun.co.uk.

Along with the picture, the 32-year-old wrote: "Think I'm gonna need a sling to carry my arm in my hand is so heavy hehehe #happiestgirlintheworld @mrgsjkay xxxx (sic)."

Before the tweet, she had posted: "Good morning Twitter land! Just woke up with a very very heavy left hand?? Ooooo it's my engagement ring!! Woohoo @mrgsjkay xxxxxx."

Kay, a former rugby league player, popped the question to the Atomic Kitten star at the top of Blackpool Tower.

He got down on one knee in front of Katona and her four children Molly, 11, Lilly-Sue, ten, Heidi, six, and five-year-old Max.

He had roped in Katona's eldest daughter Molly to present her with the ring, and the singer was overjoyed. She said "yes" immediately to the 33-year-old, who was once jailed for blackmail.

Katona was previously married to former Westlife star Brian McFadden and taxi driver Mark Croft.
