Bangalore: Valentine's Day celebration with a difference

From Our Special Correspondent

Bangalore, Feb 12: Bangalore-based Bangalore Catholic Charismatic Renewal Services (BCCRS) has planned a perfect Valentine’s Day evening on Saturday, February 15.

The celebration billed as ''Couple’s in Christ,” being organized by BCCRS will be held at the Mariam Nilaya School Grounds near St Vincent Pallotti Church at Banaswadi in Bangalore.

''It is a Valentine’s Day with a difference,” said Cherian Ramapuram of BCCRS, adding: ''It will be an evening of romance, love and excitement.”

However, the event will be open only for those courting or engaged or married couples and will be packed with fun teaching games, fellowship and prayers.

The participating couples will have to wear formal dress with gents attired in jackets and preferably black ties.

The donor pass per couple will be Rs 500.

Unlike the celebration of Valentine’s Day with tension filled in the air as different groups have different perception about the celebration, which is generally known all over the world as lover’s day, the BCCRS organized ''Couples of Christ” celebration of Valentine’s Day will be different from the Christian perspective as a day of sharing pure love among couples.

The BCCRS is organising celebration of love as our Good Lord intended it to be, pure and holy, yet exciting and fun-filled in a most professional manner, said Cherian Ramapuram inviting all couples with or without children, married, engaged or courting to come and celebrate  the day of love.

Donor passes can be obtained by calling: 9448922012/9886034809 or email: bccrs.blr@gmail.com.
