Mangalore: Medical student Rohit's death - CID begins probe

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Jul 24: The state criminal investigation department (CID) officials, who have been entrusted with the investigation relating to the death of city medical student, Rohit Radhakrishnan, began their probe on Wednesday July 23. Rohit's beheaded body was found about 300 metres away from Indian Oil Company's unit at Tannir Bavi on Beach Road here on March 23.

Rohit was a seventh semester student of a private medical college in the city. His father, Radhakrishnan based in Kerala, a lalwyer by profession, during his visit here, had expressed doubts about the accident theory. He had thereafter, complained to the state home minister, seeking investigation to find out causes of his son's death. Panambur police thereafter went to Kerala to obtain written complaint from him. The case was later modified, duly treating the cause of death as murder. The government thereafter handed over this case to the CID.

Deputy superintendent of police of CID, Narayanaswamy, visited Panambur police station on Wednesday July 23 and began investigation.

Initially, the death of the above youth had been treated as an accident, as his motor bike was found lying some distance away from the body. Two of the youngster's friends, who said they had accompanied Rohit to Tannir Bavi beach on the night of March 22, had claimed that Rohit lost his life in an accident.

CID officials met Panambur station house officer, A C Lokesh, and began gathering details from him. They are likely to visit the private medical college in which the victim was studying, and also the spot of murder. Sources said that the CID sleuths, who plan to complete their work here in four days, may extend their stay of they feel the need to do so.

Leaders who are fighting for Social justice like Thimaorodi and Kemar Swamiji are least bothered to talk about Raohi Radhakrishan.
The college students did not have morcha or demonstration to expedite the investigation.

In our D.K. district itself there are five earlier Murder Cases which were handed over to CID for investigation from 2007 till 2013 and in none of the cases CID could catch the Culprits.
In Some of these cases CID have even put 'B'Report that is 'closure report' thereby informing the Govt & Court that it is not possible for them to catch the Murderers. Under the circumstances this Rohit case will be surely the 6th Case where CID will draw blank and put B-Report.
Karnataka CID-CCB is worst than Civil Police.

Rohits friends should be arrested and interrogated for three months inside judicial custody. They are the culprits hiding the truth,
The autopsy report was morphed and spoiled the real evidence.

Glad to hear about the CID Probe,... but as DON Amnon I too doubt on the evidence remaining...... If at all the police would work without top level pressures, probably some remote chances would have been available. But shockingly the matter was tried to be graved... If it was not for his parents who have been fighting for this. it would have been a once upon a time story.....

I think if a proper autopsy was done it would have been able to determine how he was decapitated. In my humble opinion a head coming off upon impact and a head coming off after being cut by something like a knife would look totally different and could have been easily determined by now. Justice delayed is justice denied.

Why Police could not find out the real murderers? Are these murderers also come from influential family just like Saujanya Murder Case ? If these murderers are also influential then the result of CID investigation will be the same like Ujire case !
Why the name of that Private Medical college is being hidden in the news by Police dept ?

Its really shocking that the police could not solve the case and at last it has been handedovered to the CID. It has been not taken seriously by the police department very sorry to say that. The parents have suffered a lot of pain which nobody can realise. I really pitty for the cases which has not been solved and dumped off. Here at least the parents thought of fighting and getting justice to their son. That is the reason the case has been taken over by the CID. I pray god to get the culprits behind the bar and punish for what they have done.
