Mysore, Oct 27: A former soldier attacked his wife and other members of his family with a gun relating to land dispute. The incident occurred at Kirangoor in the district on Sunday October 26.

N Mallayya, who had served the army in the past, is a native of Kirangoor in Periyapatna taluk in the district. Out of the ancestral property inherited by Mallayya, a portion is under the control of his son, Sridhar. On this issue, the father and son had skirmishes in the past, and the dispute was even dragged to court, where hearing is in progress.

It is said that Mallayya, who came to the one-acre plot where his son, Sridhar, wife, Janaki, and daughter-in-law, Asha, were working to clear the plot of jowar stalks, asked his son to get out of the property. It is said he also suddenly started firing from his gun, grievously injuring his wife in her left leg, left thigh and fingers of Sridhar, and minor injuries to Asha. All of them were treated at the Periyapatna taluk government hospital before being referred to Mysore. All the three are out of danger, it is reported.

Mallayya surrendered in the police station along with the gun he had used to attack his family members.

why should one use gun and fire his own People ,just because of property ?what will he do suppose he falls down tomorrow or that day it self and die?He cant take property with him.Instead can be settled with good words or through a mediator. Now he has done the worst and he will be alone .Everywhere they are fighting over property Dispute. It was wrong to posses a gun.May be he bought it with purpose.
