Lee Chong Wei's doping case to be heard on April 11

Kuala Lumpur, March 10 (IANS): Two-time Olympic silver medallist Lee Chong Wei's doping case will be heard next month by a Badminton World Federation (BWF) panel, a senior Malaysian badminton official said on Tuesday.

Badminton Association of Malaysia deputy president Mohamad Norza Zakaria said a three-man panel from the BWF will hear the doping case on April 11 in Amsterdam, reports Xinhua.

Norza said the BWF could decide on the former world No. 1 badminton player's case on the same day.

The 32-year-old Lee faces a maximum two-year ban after he tested positive for the banned substance dexamethasone at the World Championships in Copenhagen last August.
