Ferrer loses to Tomic in Shanghai Masters


Shanghai, Oct 14 (IANS): Spaniard David Ferrer was eliminated by Australian Bernard Tomic at the Shanghai Masters tennis tournament on Wednesday.

Tomic, number 20 in the world rankings, defeated eighth seed Ferrer in one hour and 11 minutes 6-4 6-2, in the second round of the tournament, reports Efe.

The Spaniard reached the Beijing Open semi-finals last week.

This is the second defeat for Ferrer in five games against Tomic.
