Kundapur, Sep 27: Raju Devadiga, representing Hemmadi in the taluk panchayat was unanimously elected as the president of Kundapur taluk panchayat during the meeting of members held in Taluk Panchayat Bhavan here.

Geetha, member of Beejady taluk panchayat was also elected unanimously as the vice-president of during the meeting.
The Kundapur taluk panchayat consists of 35 members out of which 24 are Congress members and 11 from BJP.
The assistant commissioner KM Ramesh presided over the election meeting. Raju Devadiga had carved a niche for himself as the popular vice-president of Udupi zilla panchayat.
